2010 Rangers Conference Meet the 2010 Ranger of the year below..
Once again The Dog Line is proud to have sponsored the Ranger of the Year award and attend the 2010 Ranger's Conference. We have put together a short video of the short trip we took to Penguin Island. The trip was a well earned break from the rigorous pace set by conference organisers and much appreciated by all.
Congratulations to Ray Parry from the shire of Plantagenet who won the 2010 Ranger of the year award.
Ray also thanked his co-worker and team mate Mr Steve Player. Being a Ranger in any shire means that you may be needed by the community at any time, this responsibility is made that little bit easier by the people who give their support.
2010 Ranger Team of the Year.
WA Ranger of the Year - Winner. Mr Murray Matthews.
The Dog Line has been sponsoring this award since 2003. This year the award went to Murray Matthews from The Shire of Moora. Colin Seal, the owner of The Dog Line presented the award and also gave a presentation on how The Dog Line helped with the relief effort for the victims of the Victorian bushfires.
It is hoped that the information and slides presented will also assist in the preparation and planning for any possible emergency situations in WA. Some communities have expressed interest in seeing the presentation.
This is The Dog Lines 6th year of sposoring the Ranger of the year Award; Samanther Tarling who has now stepped down from the position of WARA president and the new President, Eric Ayers from the city of Wanneroo thanked Colin for his continued support of the WA Ranger of the Year award.
Ranger Team of the Year - Geraldton - Greenough
This year was the first time the WARA Conference was held in Regional WA. The City of Geraldton - Greenough were the hosts and were also awarded (rather than issued (ask Eric)) with the award for The Team of The Year. Well done Guys.
New President for WARA. -
Mr Eric Ayers
This year has seen the Rangers association with a new President; Mr Eric Ayers from the city of Wanneroo. Samantha Tarling who has worked extremely hard in the role as President handed over the reigns to Eric at the conference. Eric and Sam kindly posed for a photo with the thank you certificate given to The Dog Line for their attendance and support at the 2009 conference.
The 2009 Ranger Display
The Dog Line were once again at the conference with an information stand to supply Rangers with relevant information in solving dog problems in their shires. When Rangers are armed with as much information as possible, residents can start the training process immediately rather than having to search for someone to help.
Colin took advantage of being in Geraldton to visit the Vet Clinics in the area. Country Vets appreciate our Team handling and solving problems over the phone. Our Rent, Try, Buy service is fantastic for people who want to know if the product will work for their dog first and being in a country area this isn't possible at a local level.
